Grievances Redressal Committee
The Grievance Redressal Committee is an institutional body tasked with addressing and resolving complaints or grievances raised by students, faculty, or staff members. The Grievances Redressal Committee contributes to maintaining a harmonious and conducive environment within the organization, where concerns and issues are addressed promptly and fairly.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- 1. The committee receives grievances or complaints from students, faculty, staff, or any other stakeholders.
- 2. It maintains proper records of all grievances received, including details such as nature of the grievance, date of receipt, and actions taken.
- 3. The committee conducts impartial investigations into the grievances, gathering relevant information and evidence to understand the issue comprehensively.
- 4. It facilitates dialogue and mediation between the parties involved to reach an amicable resolution whenever possible. This may involve negotiation, arbitration, or other conflict resolution techniques.
- 5. Based on the findings of the investigation, the committee may make recommendations for corrective action, policy changes, or disciplinary measures as necessary.
- 6. It ensures that the resolutions or actions recommended are implemented effectively and in a timely manner.
- 7. The committee maintains strict confidentiality throughout the grievance handling process to protect the privacy of individuals involved.
- 8. It conducts awareness programs and training sessions to educate members of the institution about the grievance redressal mechanism and their rights and responsibilities.
- 9. The committee submits regular reports to the appropriate authority, highlighting the number and nature of grievances received, actions taken, and outcomes achieved.
- 10. It continually reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of the grievance redressal process, making necessary adjustments to enhance efficiency and fairness.
